‘The Triple Real’

Great workshop at Fremantle Prison, World Heritage Site, yesterday – 18 interesting people from all sorts of sites,  thinking about creating great visitor experiences.  The day included one of the very best guided tours I have ever seen – many thanks for that, John – we could have easily spent the whole day  dissecting why it was so excellent.  As ever, a master can make a complicated thing look natural and effortless!

Quote of the day, from Cathy Day, museums/heritage consultant and workshop attendee: “We should look for the ‘Triple Real’ in interpretation – real places, real objects, real people”. Well put, Cathy. Fremantle Prison delivers in spades (that means really really well!) on all three counts.
